Bovine is short on hotels, motels, etc. There is the old rooming house rooms from 1882 above the old saloon and bar, but once those 5 rooms are filled there isn't too much else around.
The Burgeron Family has set aside the back 40 behing the trailer for camping. It is come as you are and set up. Porta Johns are located for use and a few water stations depending upon the rainfall in spring.
No electrical hook-ups are available- this is real camping. Group gathering spaces and fire pits are located thru out the 40 acres. Spots go fat doe reserve early!

Stay in a Silo cabin!
Bovine is a friendly and neighborly place and the year round residents open up their extra space for those who can not manage a camping experience. Over the years a section of silo cabins has been built for use in the summer months.These spots go fast!
Rates are reasonable and you may have to do some chores in exchange to contributing to the family budget. These accommodations are best for visiting artists in residence who are not able to stay at the trailer or bring an RV to park out back.
Priority to artist in residence and volunteers working the festival.
Local history hints at the possibility that the silo cabins have been built as a mapping for the alien visitors as they are easily identified from above. Legend has it that staying in the silo cabins also opens up the chance of an alien adventure. Others say the best stories are written by those that stay in the silos and others hang out like papparazzi waiting to see the artists and the chance to get an autograph of the next superstar.

Shuttle Bus Service
If you are late to planning or reserving - a shuttle bus service will run on a 3x/day schedule from some neighboring communities a little farther from the festival activities.
Your shuttle captain will entertain with song and story to set the mood for your arrival.
Pick up points will be determined by local businesses based on reservations. Be sure to tell your host, "I want shuttle service!".

Bovine is a remote place with lots of action. During the summer the population increases expontially as the Burgeron Family Summer Retreat is held. 2014 was a record year when family and friends gathered for Nana Lou's 100th Birthday Bash! 2015 is set to break the records with the Fairy Tale Festival as the theme for the bi-annual storytelling festival. The Burgerons and ds106 friends have lots of stories unfolding as they look back at last summer's lost week and bring the fairy tales to life.
